Vicki of St. Louis, MO writes… We will be back!

This is not our first stay at the "Fred" and we will definitely be back! You might expect Marshall Dillon and Miss Kitty to walk down the halls as everything has that old western charm right in the heart of Missouri! From the heated bathroom floors and towel racks to the wonderful staff, it doesn't get any better than the "Fred".

We were riding the Kathy Trail and had booked the Frederick. What a wonderful stay! Very relaxing! The soaker tub was just what we needed after riding all day. Glenn's Cafe is a must. Great Food! We also enjoyed the veranda on the side of the bar. NIce view of river.

Ben of Roeland Park, KS writes… Hospitality overcame the heat

Sadly, a zone in the air conditioning for this beautifully-restored 105 year-old hotel had gone to the "big compressor in the sky" just prior to our arrival. We stayed the first night without the comfort of air, however the next day Evan was gracious enough to move us to another room down the hall on the same floor. And with air conditioning! We had drinks in the bar and enjoyed getting to know Jeremiah, and similarly had such pleasant conversations with Lynn as well. The dinner at Glenn's was a "piece de resistance" indeed. Absolutely brilliant! The structure is a quite lovely example of what fine hostelry should be. From another time...yet today! Three cheers for a remarkable staff that made our stay ever-so-nice. We shall return!

Very pleasant stay. The staff that we were in contact with was polite and helpful. Would recommend that you come on any other day than Monday as the restaurant and bar are closed on that day.

Phil of Springfield, MO writes… Character in spades!

You'd never know this hotel was once abandoned and nearly condemned. It's been restored to its former glory and then some. From the traditional turn of the century entrance hall to the modernized rooms (each one a work of art and each one different), it's a delightful change from the 'blah' big-box hotels. Being right on the Katy Trail is the icing on the cake.

Joseph of Excelsior Springs, MO writes… Absolutely charming!

We ADORE this old hotel, it's been updated completely without losing any of its charm. The bathroom in our room (#2) is probably not to most people's taste, since it is completely glass-enclosed and offers no privacy whatsoever, but that was certainly not a problem for us. Glenn's Cafe, in the hotel, is a something of a misnomer: more than a cafe, it's fine dining at its FINEST. The Steak Frederick was the best steak we've ever had, accompanied by the best salad EVER! We will definitely be back!

The hotel was very clean and the staff helpful. The breakfast buffet offered many options. The only negative was we were there on a Monday night and Glenn's Cafe was not open. We will have to go back again. A visit to Warm Springs Ranch, the Budweiser Clydesdale breeding operation is a plus in the Boonville area.

Mary of St Louis, MO writes… Excellent experience

This was our second stay at the Hotel Frederick, and definitely won't be our last. The location to the Katy trail is extremely convenient. The hotel staff are very knowledgable, friendly, and courteous.

After riding the trail for several hours, the rooms are a pleasure to return to for relaxation. The antique looks are a joy to be around, but the updated jet tubs are what really sells us each time in town! The beds and pillows are just perfect as well.

The bar made great drinks & we enjoyed sitting outside taking in the quiet view of the bridge, river, and small town life.

Julie of Columbia, MO writes… Great Meeting Spot!!

The working space we reserved (the Boonville Room) provided reliable online access and spacious table seating. When the work of the day blended into dinner, we had an opportunity to make use of the hotel bar and restaurant before retiring to rest before a second day of work. During each phase of our meeting, the hotel offered everything we needed! Thanks to the hardworking staff for accommodating our needs. You made beautiful surroundings even better!

Guy of Topeka, KS writes… Uniquely Different

Our stay at the Hotel Federick was a uniquely different experience for us as we generally stay in a cheap motel or in a campground. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The rooms reflected individual artistic decor with antiques throughout. The breakfast was a large variety with a healthy selection of food. We thououghly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
