My sons and I came to Boonville for the Missouri River Festival of the Arts and looking up ancestors. The Fred was a lovely place to visit. It was tastefully restored in the manner of a patina without rubbing away the historical space. Food was excellent at the restaurant, and it was fun rubbing elbows with the performers. The hotel is larger than an inn, but has the feeling of an inn, which is great.
Three of us met here for our yearly Girls' Weekend. This was our 5th year of doing this. We have stayed in Branson, Lake of the Ozarks and now Hotel Frederick. This was by far, our favorite place we've stayed! We loved the beauty & originality of the Hotel. The veranda was a great place to catch up with each other. Our room was great with a beautiful old claw foot tub and a bed for each of us. We enjoyed dinner in The Fred on Friday night and it was delicious! Saturday was spent with a trip to the Clydesdale farm in the morning, shopping in the adorable little shops on Main Street (we found several bargains) and on to the casino for some evening fun. Back to the Hotel, we spent some more time on the veranda before tuning in. Sadly, we had to leave - but are definitely planning to make another Girls' Weekend here again sometime! Everyone was very friendly and so helpful! The homemade pastries for breakfast were really good too! I don't know why anyone would stay in a stuffy, plain hotel when this beauty is sitting there just waiting to be enjoyed! We loved it!
Great service, friendly and nice employees, comfortable rooms, good food & drink.
Had a reception and facilities were perfect! A+.
Enjoyed our stay at The Fred. Very nice room with a walk-in shower. The staff were all very nice and friendly. Had a drink and appetizer on the veranda, and then dinner in The Lounge. Great choices on the menu and the food was great!
My only complaint - was traffic noise from outside. We were in the new remodeled area in a king room. Adding white noise machines may be helpful. If we are in the area, we would definitely stay again.
As always, we enjoyed our stay. Great rooms, great location (especially if you are traveling with a dog). Only negative is the lounge/restaurant is closed on Mondays. The food is always great there but when closed the rest of the town is slim pickings.
If you are going to be in the Boonville area you really need to stay at the Fredrick. Great staff,
good food and wonderful décor. A truly pleasant stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Josh and Luke went beyond expectation to make us feel welcome. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is a beautiful treasure. We would recommend the hotel and would certainly stay there again.
My husband and I had stayed at the Frederick a couple of years ago, then returned this summer for an overnight stay. Though years had passed, the hotel continues to keep its charm and character. Boonville is such a quaint town as well!
We were only there for one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. Our flight was delayed and we called Luke, who had booked our rooms, explaining that we were running late, but would be ready to eat dinner upon arrival. He told us that the kitchen closes at 10:00, but that he would ask them to prepare us a plate and keep it warm for us. He even read us the entire menu so that we'd have our choice. He was waiting for us at the desk as we walked in the door, checked us into our rooms, and escorted us to the bar where we ordered drinks while he brought us our delicious dinner. Although we were exhausted, we enjoyed relaxing in the quiet, cozy, bar area while eating our meal. Our rooms were touched with unique and fascinating decorations and serenely quiet and comfortable. As we checked out the next day, we sadly gave up our keys with the wooden plank indicating our room number, saying this brought back memories of life before plastic key cards. Our visit was nostalgic and a far cry from the hustle and bustle of living in a big city. Thank you for the pleasant and peaceful memories.
The Hotel Frederick is a charming hotel with a very friendly staff. Everyone, especially Luke, were so willing to help you with every request. Luke made my trip worth all the delays I had getting to Boonville. I highly recommend staying at this blast back to the past hotel, it is worth every minute you spend there.
If I ever get back to Boonville, I will be staying at Hotel Frederick and I hope Luke is still there.
