We truly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Frederick. It is a charming, beautifullyl restored building and we would not hesitate to recommend it to other travelers.

Very pleasant, relaxing, enjoyable 2 nights & one day. Love location & view from my room. Bathroom is very spacious. Bed was so comfortable. Staff was very helpful & friendly. Can't think of anything I would change. Would suggest having small electric coffee pot, jus one cup, in room. I would like to be able to have coffee in morning without having to get dressed & go downstairs.

Larry of Madison, WI writes… lovely experience

My sons and I came to Boonville for the Missouri River Festival of the Arts and looking up ancestors. The Fred was a lovely place to visit. It was tastefully restored in the manner of a patina without rubbing away the historical space. Food was excellent at the restaurant, and it was fun rubbing elbows with the performers. The hotel is larger than an inn, but has the feeling of an inn, which is great.

Becky of Centertown, MO writes… Girls' Weekend

Three of us met here for our yearly Girls' Weekend. This was our 5th year of doing this. We have stayed in Branson, Lake of the Ozarks and now Hotel Frederick. This was by far, our favorite place we've stayed! We loved the beauty & originality of the Hotel. The veranda was a great place to catch up with each other. Our room was great with a beautiful old claw foot tub and a bed for each of us. We enjoyed dinner in The Fred on Friday night and it was delicious! Saturday was spent with a trip to the Clydesdale farm in the morning, shopping in the adorable little shops on Main Street (we found several bargains) and on to the casino for some evening fun. Back to the Hotel, we spent some more time on the veranda before tuning in. Sadly, we had to leave - but are definitely planning to make another Girls' Weekend here again sometime! Everyone was very friendly and so helpful! The homemade pastries for breakfast were really good too! I don't know why anyone would stay in a stuffy, plain hotel when this beauty is sitting there just waiting to be enjoyed! We loved it!

Marsha of Topeka, KS writes… Great Hotel!

Enjoyed our stay at The Fred. Very nice room with a walk-in shower. The staff were all very nice and friendly. Had a drink and appetizer on the veranda, and then dinner in The Lounge. Great choices on the menu and the food was great!

My only complaint - was traffic noise from outside. We were in the new remodeled area in a king room. Adding white noise machines may be helpful. If we are in the area, we would definitely stay again.

Patrick of Asheville, NC writes… Great stopping point

As always, we enjoyed our stay. Great rooms, great location (especially if you are traveling with a dog). Only negative is the lounge/restaurant is closed on Mondays. The food is always great there but when closed the rest of the town is slim pickings.

Joanie of Washington, MO writes… A Hotel with Charm and Character

My husband and I had stayed at the Frederick a couple of years ago, then returned this summer for an overnight stay. Though years had passed, the hotel continues to keep its charm and character. Boonville is such a quaint town as well!
