Kathryn of Montreal, CA writes… Special Hotel

I stayed here two nights while searching for my ancestors in the area. Even though I was a little early arriving, I was welcomed warmly and checked in immediately. Right from the start was I impressed that they had kept the architectural integrity and charm while providing all the modern amenities.

Jeremiah in the lounge was friendly and a great bartender. I had two dinners in The Fred hotel restaurant, both were nice.

However, it was the service above and beyond for which I am extremely grateful. I was having problems with my rental car and the manager found a garage which would help me on a Saturday morning. My thanks goes out to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend away. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the fish bowl bathroom. The bar was enjoyable as well, with Jeremiah providing us great choices of drinks while watching the baseball playoff with new friends from the hotel.

Eveline of Asheville, NC writes… Comfortable and friendly

We arrived at Hotel Frederick on Saturday after a 13 hour drive. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful so that all of us settled in quickly. Great trail across the street for walking the dog. The Frederick is a really neat old hotel with comfortable rooms. Loved the radiant heat in the bathroom. Good food & drinks. In the morning the night clerk/baker made coffee and breakfast an hour earlier just so we could get on the road on time. His baked breads are delicious. We've already booked a return stay!

Kim of Jefferson City, MO writes… Such a quaint place to stay!

My husband and I biked from Jefferson City to Boonville and stayed in room 5. We loved the style of the hotel and the way it has been preserved. We had dinner on the front porch and the food was excellent. A wonderful breakfast fueled us for the rest of our bike journey. It was a very clean hotel, the staff took excellent care of us and we would definitely stay there again!

We truly appreciated your lovely hotel and nice room after the bike ride from Columbia on the Pedaler's Jamboree. From the friendly, helpful staff, convenient location and bike storage, to the yummy breakfast it worked so well we reserved the room again for next year. Thanks.

At the recommendation of the lady at the Visitors Center my wife and I decided to stay at the Frederick. The place has been beautifully restored with many period pieces in each room. The "fish bowl" baths in several of the rooms are a real hoot! After cleaning up after our visit to Warm Springs Ranch we decided to eat in the hotel's dining room. What a great decision. The food was far beyond our expectations! The chef really knows his/her stuff. The wine list is also pretty extensive.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. They serve homemade pastries with the free breakfast and it beats anything you've gotten at competitors chain hotels.

We plan to return with our children and grandchildren before the summer's over. For the price it's a very good value.

What a lovely experience. Overhauled, but not overdone, everything about our stay was just right. This architectural gem of a building is in the right hands. THANK YOU. We'll be back!

From the moment you arrive, this place is great. The staff are very friendly, caring, and courteous. Our rooms were great; nice blend of antique with modern amenities. Large rainshower was extremely relaxing after a long ride on the Katy trail.

The breakfast included plenty of choices and delicious homemade baked goods to round out the choices.
Will definitely be back again
