Susan of Dallas, TX writes… ONE NIGHT IS NOT ENOUGH!

We were only there for one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. Our flight was delayed and we called Luke, who had booked our rooms, explaining that we were running late, but would be ready to eat dinner upon arrival. He told us that the kitchen closes at 10:00, but that he would ask them to prepare us a plate and keep it warm for us. He even read us the entire menu so that we'd have our choice. He was waiting for us at the desk as we walked in the door, checked us into our rooms, and escorted us to the bar where we ordered drinks while he brought us our delicious dinner. Although we were exhausted, we enjoyed relaxing in the quiet, cozy, bar area while eating our meal. Our rooms were touched with unique and fascinating decorations and serenely quiet and comfortable. As we checked out the next day, we sadly gave up our keys with the wooden plank indicating our room number, saying this brought back memories of life before plastic key cards. Our visit was nostalgic and a far cry from the hustle and bustle of living in a big city. Thank you for the pleasant and peaceful memories.

Grace Anne of Dallas, TX writes… Charming

The Hotel Frederick is a charming hotel with a very friendly staff. Everyone, especially Luke, were so willing to help you with every request. Luke made my trip worth all the delays I had getting to Boonville. I highly recommend staying at this blast back to the past hotel, it is worth every minute you spend there.

If I ever get back to Boonville, I will be staying at Hotel Frederick and I hope Luke is still there.

Four friends stayed one night in room 9. We were very comfortable, and were treated very well by the check in desk, gift store, and wait staff. Thank you so much!

Nice place, very accommodating to cyclists off the Katy Trail. Highly recommend the hotel, close to downtown and great restaurants nearby... (we'd have had dinner there, except the on-site restaurant was closed). Really nice what they've done to the place to update the bathrooms while keeping the hotel room itself so classic. My wife and I will be back to enjoy again.

We only had a one night stay here but, I would highly recommend it. This hotel has managed to maintain some of the historic charm while updating others for guests comfort. We stayed in room 18 which was one of the smaller rooms but worked well for my husband, son and I. The restaurant, The Fred, offered a wonderful menu while in a fabulous room! It's located right next to the Missouri River and in a cute little town.

I appreciated the turn of the century decor, the comfort and the truly warm and welcoming staff. Food at The Fred was outstanding and the service delightful. I would love to stay here again. One of the best B&B's on my list!

We enjoyed our stay at The Fred! Very unique hotel---loved the decor! We had a great meal in The Lounge. It was in a great location for us to bike on the Katy trail and visit wineries in the area. Staff was great and helpful as well. Would definitely stay again.

Tried the new rooms on the third floor. They are VERY NICE!!! Also, they serve an excellent breakfast including fresh breads and cakes baked during the night shift by either Gene or Ed.

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the Fred. Just experiencing the surroundings, the décor and amenities was worth it and the staff was outstanding. Breakfast offered many choices and was delicious. We have stayed at many B&Bs and The Fred was one of the best.
