Kurt of Wichita, KS writes… always stay here

I stay here whenever I am in town on business. it is a wonderful hotel, great staff, and so much more appealing than the chain motels I unusually frequent. I prefer the bar menu to the restaurant menu ( but that is my taste). I have never been disappointed at the "Fred"

We rode to Boonville on the KATY Trail and stayed at the Frederick. We do this several times a year and it is always fun. The room is nice, the bed is good, the breakfast is great, the staff is helpful and friendly, the food at The Fred is good, all in all a great experience.

The hotel was a study in old world charm.
The hotel restaurant was very good.
It made for a pleasant evening in an interesting old town.

Diane of Kansas City, MO writes… My Big Muddy Stay at the Frederick

I love staying at the Frederick because I can park my car right across the street when I arrive in town and I don't have to drive again until I head back home. I can walk 4 blocks down Main St. to all the venues for the Big Muddy clustered at Main and Vine.

I love the breakfast and venue--very European--not a sterile environment like a Super 8 breakfast venue.

I'll be back next year!

Gail of St. Louis, MO writes… Historic Feel with Latest Amenities

Loved my 2 nights at Hotel Frederick. While the furnishings are antique, the hotel is wonderfully clean with unique bathroom features such as heated floor, free wi-fi, comfy linens.. I love the wood floors and beautiful rugs. I did avail myself of the earplugs provided. I don't know if hall noise or traffic and nearby train would've disturbed me or not. I didn't wait to see, just put the plugs in and noticed no noise. Bacon and apple dressing on chicken arugula in The Fred restaurant was great. Dinner entrees were pricier than my usual preference, but im pretty cheap. i found tasty options within easy walking distance. Continental style breakfast was fine for me, and I liked having nice dishes to eat on.
Last but not least, staff were all friendly and helpful. Desk staff, housekeeping, waitress....all hospitable to the max and open to pleasant chit chat.
I have no doubt I will be back.

Cris of Kansas City, MO writes… Comfort Plus, Right off the Katy!

Hotel Frederick provides bike storage and the Katy goes directly by the hotel's front door. The room we stayed in had a rain shower, air jet tub, and a very comfortable bed. Plants and antiques adorn the lobby and hallways. The restaurant staff gladly adapted to our vegetarian food preferences. Soap from the Zum soap factory (Indigo Wild) is used in all the rooms. Historical plaques abound in Booneville. Complimentary breakfast served Kashi products, fresh-baked goods, plus juices, coffee, tea. Hope the Fred will consider offering discounts to bike riders and repeat customers!! A wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the Frederick. The antique furnishings blended with modern comfort were quite nice. We had room 5. It was very pleasant and quiet.

Nancy of KC., MO, MO writes… You wont be disappointed!!

WE have stayed there 4 or 5 times. Going back in May. I have NEVER had better service, from the front desk to the staff in the restaurant. The bartender, Jerimiah, is a genius. You tell him what you like (pears for me) and he makes the best pear martini. Doesn't need to be on the drink menu for him to make it. Comfy leather chairs in a cozy bar. Food is restaurant is just . The continental breakfast has soooo many good things. When we told the lady how good a certain cake was, she said, "oh wait a minute and I'll get you the recipe!" If you are close to Boonville you must stay here.

Charles W. of MANHATTAN, KS writes… Wonderful Hotel!

The Frederick is a unique blend of the past and present--a beautifully preserved treasure of the early 20th-century American elegance combined with all the amenities of the present. The continental breakfast was always delicious and the staff was always both knowledgeable and eager to help. We came to Boonsville to ride the KATY Trail, and the trailhead is literally right across the street! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
