My mother and father are from Bunceton and Glasgow, respectively. I have visited Boonville many times in the past and passed the hotel. I had no idea the Hotel Frederick had been renovated to such a great extent. Our room was located to the southwest and was a bit airy, but it was nicely decorated and up-to-date. When we were ready to check out, one of the staff members was kind enough to let us view another room. We were impressed with how the room itself was different, but still similar to our room. I believe it was because of the hues that were used throughout the hotel itself. The continental breakfast included with our room was totally unexpected.

I plan to return and will highly recommend the Hotel Frederick to my co-workers, friends and relatives as a nice place to stay whenever they stay in mid-Missouri.

A friend and myself spent one night at the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Very nice and quaint rooms, very clean. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Ate dinner in lounge, which was very comfortable. Food was very good. Very important to me, because of back problems, was that the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay again and intend to tell others. A wonderful experience

This was our 6th year since we discovered the Hotel Frederick. We had another delightful stay with great food at the new "Fred", drinks, accommodations and friends. The homemade fresh baked goods that Gene makes for breakfast are delicious. It is always a highpoint to catch up with Lynn and Jeremiah as they make the visit a true and enjoyable experience. We are already discussing our next visit.

Gary and I love the Frederick. We`ve started a tradition of Thanksgiving at the hotel. And the Frederick wouldn`t be the Frederick without that outstanding and engaging bartender Jeremiah! Evan is terrific at the desk as well. It is a real place with warm and engaging staff.

Imagine a quiet rural town somewhere in the middle of Missouri surrounded by farms but filled with delightful shops, cafés and filled with friendly people. Now imagine a hotel built years ago by skilled craftsmen and staffed by people who want to make you feel at home. That was our experience at the Hotel Frederick. The staff was genuinely concerned at making our stay enjoyable. This is not the kind of hospitality of one of those big chain hotels but of people that made you feel welcome, comfortable and left you with a desire to return.

Room 25 is amazing. You don't find rooms that spacious at any price. The high ceilings give an open feel reminiscent of an artist's loft. The entire hotel is charming and my main regret was not to have more time to explore the common areas on the main floor. The lobby, historic bar and restaurant are wonderful. I hope to get to return one day soon. Thanks to the staff and management for a great stay. Holly

We love staying at the Frederick Hotel. The bar is a very inviting place to gather with old friends or make new ones. I always feel like I am stepping back in time when traveling and staying in a hotel was a treat and you could experience something a little different from your day to day life. The staff at the Frederick has created a warm welcoming atmosphere that lures you back again and again. Well done.

We enjoyed our post Mizzou football game Saturday evening at the Hotel Frederick the last weekend of November. We slept in comfort and mingled the next morning over the delicious breakfast with other happy Tiger fans. We have stayed here many times and highly recommend it for Mizzou fans and those who love to bike the Katy trail as it is so close to Columbia and the trail.

Michael of Kansas City, MO writes… Historic Hotel along Missouri River.

We love staying in small towns with historic hotels that give you the feel of how the town came into being. The Hotel Frederick does that well. Nicely renovated with the feel of a large B&B. Nice staff and very helpful. We rode the KATY bike trail from Boonville to Rocheport along the Missouri River and back. Highly recommend as a great day trip, special occasion or overnight stay.
