Larry of Vermillion, SD writes… Never a disappointment

I just spent several days at the Fred and as always it was a fantastic experience. From the courteous, friendly and helpful staff to the great food and lounge. It was such a relaxing trip that I am already planning my next visit.

Thanks to all of the staff for an enjoyable time.

Thanks for the hospitality! Great historic atmosphere. Room was comfortable and interesting. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Had a nice time at the hotel bar. Fresh oysters on the half shell in mid Missouri and they were fantastic. Who knew? Thanks.

I've had the good fortune to stay in a lot of very special places, but none more to my liking than the Hotel Frederick. The room was a perfect blend of old and new, comfortable in every way and very tastefully decorated. Yet, I think my favorite parts of the hotel are the common areas. The lobby, the breakfast room, bar, and first floor t.v. room were so open and welcoming that although the hotel is definitely special, I felt comfortably "at home" at the same time. Don't change a thing.

Grete of Overland Park, KS writes… Katy Trail Gem

Spent the night while riding the Katy trail - wonderful place! Such a pleasant change from the standard, generic hotel. The restored wooden floors and fixtures contributed to the ambiance of the hotel, yet you had all the modern conveniences - TV and wifi. You could tell the staff took pride in the place and that was reflected in the service provided.
Although the breakfast included was not "hot," there were enough choices to appease any appetite.
As a bike rider, I really appreciated the covered, locked storage for my bike. I did not have to worry about it.
Whether on another bike ride or just touring the area, the Frederick would be my choice of places to stay.

This was the perfect place to stay for a college roommate weekend. Perfect location for Wine Walk, shops, restaurants, bars and short drive to the Budweiser Clydesdales Ranch. The staff at the hotel were friendly and even our lady that cleaned our room gave us recommendations on not to miss out on the coffee cake for breakfast. Oh by the way it was awesome. Our room was comfortable and the homemade soaps were an extra touch. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Everything was perfect and we hope to return someday.

Robert of Las Vegas, NV writes… Pleasant Surprise

My son is freshman at University of Missouri. My family and I came to visit him for the Mizzou/South Carolina game. The game was great and our stay at the Hotel Frederick was fantastic. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly staff. The hotel was a step back in time with all the modern amenities of a comfortable bed and newly remodeled bathroom. In the morning, we awoke to a complimentary breakfast that was delicious and the company of the other guest was a pleasant surprise. Anytime we visit our son, we will stay at the Hotel Frederick.

Linda of St. Joseph, MO writes… Treasure on the River

What a treasure! We just happened onto the Hotel Frederick and can't wait to go back. It is so refreshing to see someone pour their love into a treasure of this magnitude. We loved the restored architecture, the woodwork, the antiques and the geneeral ambiance of the hotel. We will be coming back to explore the local wineries and antique shops of the area and of course The Fred.
