The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating for our various needs and worked hard to make us feel comfortable. Several family members commented on the excellence of the food and the service. Thank you so much - things couldn't have been better! “

4-25-19 Marge C writes…..”Just love the relaxed atmosphere here. Sat in the lobby drinking wine and playing Chinese checkers.....we did not realize how much we needed this little getaway....make sure to visit the shops in Rocheport and Warm Springs Ranch, can’t wait to come back in the fall!”

4-14-19 Dianna W. writes….. “We really enjoyed our stay. The historical hotel was just like stepping back to early 1900's. The staff there were helpful and accommodating. The room, bed, bathroom were comfortable. The staff also provided historical insight to how the ownership and use of the hotel had changed over the years and added information about the current efforts to keep Hotel Frederick as a welcoming venue that evokes pleasant memories regardless of age or gender. We found ourselves exploring and using the hotel as a backdrop for really great photos. Kudos to the staff and management for the simple, yet very satisfying amenities for breakfast. Although did not partake it is our understanding that the bar is a great place to enjoy refreshment and live music. We will do that on another visit in the future. Thank you to everyone who made our stay a good memory. “

3-22-19 Kevin L. writes…..”Great room, restaurant, bar, music, and staff. We’ve been twice and we can’t recommend it enough! The downstairs bar has music on Friday’s and it is a lot of fun. We can’t wait to go back! It is a quick walk to the casino, rail museum, and a few other bars. If you are in Columbia, and looking for a quick night away - this is your place! (I recommend room 6, but I’m pretty sure they are all great! The restaurant is outstanding! The Chef KILLS it. It’s honestly worth the drive from Columbia just to eat.)”

I loved everything about it.... the creaky old floors and the bubbling water pipes....the old furniture and pictures.... was very happy with the stay......I even found a “ treasure “ in our room..... room two.... if you have an eye for puzzles you’ll find it too! I’ll definitely stay there again..... “

10-27-18 Donna V. writes…..”This hotel was to die for. Beautifully renovated; huge suite; and the staff were wonderful. I didn't feel like going out to dinner that evening, and they brought us room service from the restaurant. We LOVED our stay and will definitely go again. “

Thumbs up!"

6-10-18 Patty L. writes....."We loved the hotel and it’s charm, but the customer service was the best. We arrived early and very hot from riding the Katy Trail and Josh at the front desk went above and beyond to help get us in our room early and make us comfortable. He was very pleasant and helpful during our stay."

6/7/18 Dave N. writes....." We enjoyed our time at the Frederick as the front desk folks were professional, friendly, and very helpful when we asked for anything. The restaurant served great food and our waitress was very good. This is our second stay this year and have one more booked later this fall. We make our trips here to Boonville so that we can ride the Katy Trail. The trail is located a across the street from the hotel and they lock up our bikes every evening. Great place to stay and I recommend the hotel."

5/10/18 Jeff G. writes....."My daughter and I were riding the Katy trail and had the fortune of staying the night at The Hotel Frederick. It is right on the Katy trail and was a perfect place stop for the evening. They stored our bikes and we found the hotel to be a well restored grand hotel! There was a place for dinner within the hotel as well as a place to buy a well-deserved beverage after a hard day of riding. The next morning they had a good continental breakfast that was ready before our early departure. Thanks for making it one of our memorable stops while riding the trail!"

Not only is the hotel a unique and interesting place to stay that is comfortable and in the heart of tons of things to do but we were lucky enough to be entertained by a very talented singer/guitar player named Zach Simpson who spent hours entertaining us in the lobby. Our participants were more than pleased with their stay and the atmosphere in the hotel!

4/20/18 Sandy V. writes....."we have always loved the experience - the staff is awesome - and the rooms are so cute! Room 1 is our favorite of all. "

4/11/18 Andy A. writes....."A stay at the historic old Frederick is so much more soul-satisfying than a modern cookie cutter hotel. At a price comparable to the boring interstate motel, the rooms are nicely appointed featuring lovely architectural details from the 19th century, windows that actually open and close and, carefully upgraded with modern safety features and plumbing. Revival Restaurant in the Frederick serves excellent food, thoughtfully prepared with high quality ingredients and an outstanding wine list that would be at home in a major metropolis. I look forward to my next visit."

4/6/18 Stephanie K. writes....."Day Trip to Warm Springs Ranch where they breed the famous Budweiser Clydesdale horses. It is a "must see".
We had a group of 9 and rented 5 rooms all in the North Wing. We stayed in room 30. The beds and bedding were super comfy. Rooms were spacious. TV was great...as well as nice views of the River...
The restaurant was FABULOUS! Chef Calvin Davis did an outstanding job for our party.
Start your FTOD (Favorite Time of Day aka Happy Hour) in the charming Revival Lounge! Very quaint, service was great ladies.
This place is very well self-contained...No need to go off the property as you have everything you need.
Our thanks to the great staff and owners of Hotel Frederick. NICE JOB!"

3/29/18 Nicholas H. writes...."Having grown up in Boonville I've always thought the building was interesting and can remember accompanying my mother to the DMV that was once located in the basement of the building. We came home for Easter and needed a little extra space. We reserved one of the larger rooms with a king size bed that was described to sleep 4 people. This is usually hotel speak for 'good luck with the pull-out'; however we were pleased to find two single beds in the second room of the suite. In addition, we knew we would be pulling into town around 2AM so I called when we booked the reservation to ensure this would be okay. They assured me it would. We pulled in and sure enough there was someone waiting for us at the door.

I cannot speak for the restaurant but the continental breakfast was very adequate (if you want a pancake maker stay out at the Holiday Inn Express on the Hwy). The artwork on the walls in the form of historical documents and pictures of Boonville and the surrounding area were very interesting to my wife and I. We enjoyed speaking to the hotel staff about the history of the building and their future plans.
If you are riding by on the trail, passing through town or coming home for a short stay I would highly recommend The Frederick!"

3/21/18  Tina Y. writes....."We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely 1905 hotel. The renovations, including the glass-etched bathroom walls are marvelous and what a pleasure seeing that the Hotel Frederick is constructing an event center downstairs. I enjoyed getting printed material about the history of the hotel as well as the details about the limestone flooring from the Paleozoic Vermont Period. Most people would overlook the fossils in the flooring, but the desk clerk quickly pointed them out to us, and was thoughtful enough to provide me with a printed handout. The food at dinner was very unique and tasty and we will be back again to bike the Katy Trail and enjoy more of Boonville."

3/15/18 Kathryn N. writes....."Historic hotel heaven. The architecture, the decor, the location are all perfect. Biking is out the front door on the KT trail. Just when it can’t get any better, the bar opens. And they serve food. And it’s awesome."
